Like Mommy.... Like Daddy.....

I wanna be like Mommy....

I wanna be like Daddy.....

This Baby likes to Skype!

Now that we have moved away further away from our families, the next best thing we can do to stay in touch with them is to Skype. Brody loves to Skype. In fact, when he hears the computer ring this kid drops everything and comes running to computer. He then goes and gets his Chuck the dump truck to show who ever we are talking to. He will constantly watch the screen to make sure that ALL eyes are on him.. he is a big cheese!

To all that Skype please Skype us!!!

Why isn't my remote working?

Brody loves anything technology (just like mommy and daddy.) He really likes to play with the TV remote. I think because anytime you hit a button a red light appears and he knows it changes the picture on the TV. He has gotten so fast at getting the remote, that when he gets the remote, he runs with it while pressing as many buttons as he can all while giggling uncontrollably. So, we gave him a remote to VCR that does not work anymore. (he he he) I keep the remote close to his chair so he can copy us much as he wants. The only problem with this brillant plan is that Brody knows that his remote doesn't work.... he he he.

Hi Mommy!

Oooh look at all the buttons....

How fast can I push all the buttons?

I love this picture!

Me and my remote...
(look at my thumb)

maybe it will work if I push the buttons without looking...

I am going to make it work...
hmmmmm maybe this button...

Let's try it from my chair...
(a true Aldridge male)

I wonder what he is going to be like when he gets his first smart phone? He already knows how to use my iphone.....

Photo Post....

Brody has been working on feeding himself over the last several weeks. These first few pictures of him trying out his new utensils and suction-cup bowl. I seem to be only taking pictures of Brody eating... only because when he finds a new food he likes he makes the best sounds. I have some other pictures on my phone, so I will sync my phone a hopefully get those pictures to you soon. For now enjoy the following pictures...

Are you watching me eat my applesauce?

bang...bang...bang...

I am getting this spoon thing down... Yeah!

Yummy!

Ice Cream Sandwich

Where have you guys been hiding this???

I can't get it in my mouth fast enough...

Chuck E. Cheese

We wanted to take Brody somewhere for dinner where he could be around other kids. So we thought Chuck E. Cheese (where a kid can be a kid!) But they really didn't have an area for 17 month olds. We will come back when the Brodster is around 3.....

Bob the Builder

Oh my this thing moves... quick get me out of here!

Mom, I do not like that mouse walking around here.

Mmmmm.... Donut!

The past Sunday, I really wanted a donut. I know not such a good way to start off the new year with a calorie packed donut. Anyhoo... a quick google search later we found a donut place. Not quite the same selection that I am used too... no cream filled! :( But these donuts were way bigger and had tons of glaze.

Because of the lack of room in the donut place, we went back to the car to eat our donuts. We even let Brody try one... He did not want anything to do the sprinkled donut so Matt had to give up one of glazed donuts.... Brody has been very independent lately (No cutting up his food) so we gave him the entire donut.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Looking at Brody through the head rest with his initial test of the donut to see if he likes it... Yes! we got a big MMMMMmmmmm!

A close up eating the donut...

This is sooooo good!

This is what was left of the donut...
look closely to see all the crumbs that were left behind... he he he

Look at my new puffy coat.....

Later that night Brody kept the whole house awake. Crying out every 15- 20 minutes.... come to find out he had a double ear infection. That should have been a sign to how the rest of our trip was going to end up.

OHIO here we come. Brody and I then continued our adventure to Ohio to meet Andrew (new nephew/cousin). When we arrived in Akron it was 22 degrees... brrrrrr!

Grandma, Andrew, Brody & Grandpa...

Who is that?

I think I am going to poke him...

Andrew was so tiny that he fit in a stocking and was a great model while we snapped a few hundred pictures.... He is so cute!

Later that night Matt and I got really sick.. I mean so sick we ending up needing IV fluid and Zofran to help us recover. We had to delay coming back to Cali because we were both that sick. Even Aunt Sarah got sick too..... So to all my Texas friends who I did not get to see that is why we didn't get to see ya'll over the break... :(

Uncle Adam & Brody

Brody had a great time opening all of his gifts. I am just glad we are all feeling better and looking forward to what this year has to offer.
